On Wednesday June 15th, our eighth grade class closed the era of their years at St. Cecilia School as students, and began a new one as members of St. Cecilia Alumni. It was perfect to look at the beautiful smiling faces of our graduates, their happiness overflowing, with the Mass and ceremony back to normal.
After the Graduation Mass, officiated by Fr. Edward Friel, Pastor of Mary Queen of All Saints, was complete, the Graduation Ceremony took center stage. The Class of 2022 received their diplomas from the Executive Director of the Catholic Partnership Schools, Ms. Jameka McGraw-Bird . Awards and scholarships were presented to student recipients by our Principal, Sr. Alicia M. Perna SSJ M.Ed.

Once all the awards were presented, the students performed their class song, “A Million Dreams” from the Greatest Showman.
Afterwards, students presented their parents with a red rose and a letter as a thank you.
The unique tradition of the pinning of the new alumni by former alumni of St. Cecilia School closed the graduation ceremonies with Pomp and Circumstance.
