If you drive down Westfield Avenue on the way to school, you will see a new addition at the corner of 49th Street. Our Book Ark has found home and is ready to service the community.
In June as we ended the school year, the Book Ark, after many hours of love and hard work by our Art students, was part of our ending Prayer Service.
As we opened our school year, the Book Ark was placed at its home, prepared to welcome readers who will enjoy the books inside. Sr. Alicia Perna SSJ gave the Blessing Prayer. Through the kindness and generosity of Ms. Elena Piperno, the Director of the Domenica Foundation, along with her father Mr. Pepe Piperno, and, in conjunction with Mr. Tom Martin, the Executive Director of Camden Pop Up Libraries, students in our Art classes were given the opportunity to fill the Ark with books.
We are thrilled to share the love of Reading with our community. May those books bring adventures, laughter, and happiness to those who wish to read but don’t have any books.
