Joy Love Peace

On December 20th the students of St. Cecilia’s, under the guidance of Mrs. Rhea, presented this year’s Christmas Show,  “Joy     Love     Peace”. From teachers, to students, to practices, and songs, it all came together for a beautiful performance of the night when Jesus was born. The theme helped us to remember “the hope, joy, and Peace that the tiny Baby brought to the world on that special night in Bethlehem”.

It all started with prophets preparing the way foretelling the Birth of Jesus. We were witnesses to Mary’s visit from the angel Gabriel, her joy to accept God’s will, Joseph’s dream and the joy in his heart to be chosen by God to be the parents of His son. The story continued with their journey to Bethlehem, Jesus’ birth in the stable, the visit from the Shepard’s, and the Three Wise Men.

Each grade sang a special song. Beginning with Seventh grade: Glory; Third grade: Little Donkey; Fifth grade: No Room at the Inn; Second grade: Oh, What a Special Night; Eighth grade: Away in a Manger; Kindergarten: Jingle Bells; Sixth grade: Gift; First grade: Hush, There’s a Baby; and Fourth grade: My Wish. Each class sang wonderfully with smiles on their faces.

It was a wonderful interpretation of the story of Jesus’ birth. We thank all of the students who participated in this production. Well done everyone. We would also like to especially thank Mrs. Rhea for all of her hard work in putting the show together.

Merry Christmas everyone. And, as Tiny Tim would say: "God bless us, everyone.”
