"Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community

We begin our celebration of Catholic Schools Week on Monday, January 29th with focus on this year’s theme, "Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community. Events are planned for every day as we begin our service project, and celebrate our students, teachers, staff, administration, and families. Together, as a community of faith, we make up the “gift” that is Catholic Schools.

MONDAY - We begin our week celebrating Community and Parents

Service Project – “Change for Global Change” is introduced today and will continue until February 14th. Students will be bringing loose change during this time period, which will be donated to the Sisters of St. Joseph organization - Change for Global Change - for sustainability projects throughout the world. Can you imagine a day without water?

Crazy Hat Day – Make your crazy hat and wear it to school along with your school uniform.

K-2 will be drawing pictures for our community members in action:                                

Kindergarten will honor our Police and Firefighters.

Grade 1 will honor our Crossing Guards, Bus Drivers and Bus Aides.

Grade 2 will honor our EMT’s and Nurses.

Letters of Gratitude will also be written by grades 3 through 8, to their Parents/Guardians for their sacrifices to send them to a Catholic School.

 

TUESDAY - We celebrate our faculty and staff.

Families are encouraged to send in a small note of gratitude to their child’s teacher and or the St. Cecilia School Staff.

WEDNESDAY – We celebrate our school.

We look forward to our Open House 9-2pm, with tours for NEW FAMILIES only. New families will get to see our "Beatitude Attitude" and understand: *Catholic School teachers/schools make the difference.

 Crazy Sock Day – wear your crazy socks to school along with your school uniform.

 

THURSDAY - We celebrate Vocations.

There will be a special prayer for the vocations of single life, married life, and Religious life.

Blue and Gold Dress Down Day for everyone!

 

FRIDAY - We celebrate our students.

Students will dress up in what they see as their future career choice. In the afternoon, students will also give presentations on that career and why they wish to pursue it.
