Congratulations to our eighth graders Brenny and Lucas for their wining essays.
The 2025-2026 essay contest topic, “Out of the 260 popes who have led the Catholic Church, who are your favorite three popes and why?” was sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council 3512. It was open to students in Grades 8 through 12 and limited to 500-750 words. Out of over 200 submissions, Brenny and Lucas’s essays were chosen as winners and their essays have been sent to the state level for further consideration.
The Grand Knight of Council 3512 Tomas Ruiz, presented Brenny and Lucas with their certificates on January 13th during the school day. We are Saint Cecilia Proud of Brenny and Lucas and wish both students good luck on the state level.
