“Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community”

We begin our celebration of Catholic Schools Week on Monday, January 26th with focus on this year’s theme, “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community”. Events are planned for every day as we complete our service project, and celebrate our students, teachers, staff, administration, and families. Together, as a community of faith, we make up the “gift” that is Catholic Schools.

MONDAY - We celebrate Community

We open our week celebrating community through our service project. Students in each grade have already brought in requested supplies to assemble Birthday Bags for the Mary Queen of All Saints Food Pantry. Today, the items will be combined in the gym and our students will fill the birthday bags with cake mix, icing, a foil cake pan, candles, balloons, and a tablecloth. May the bags brighten someone’s birthday.

TUESDAY - We celebrate Students

Today, we celebrate all of our fantastic students who make up our St. Cecilia School family. Each and every student is amazing. Students will receive a no homework night and classroom celebrations in the afternoon.

Student Dress Down Day

WEDNESDAYWe celebrate our Nation

Crazy Sock Day – a variation this year, students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue or USA socks to school along with your school uniform.

We look forward to our Open House 9-2 pm, with tours for NEW FAMILIES only. New families will get to see our "Beatitude Attitude" and understand: Catholic School teachers/schools make the difference.

THURSDAY - We celebrate Vocations

Sister Alicia will discuss vocations throughout the day with students in each grade level wing.

Students will also write letters, cards, and draw pictures for the retired Sisters of Saint Joseph living at St. Joseph’s Vila in Flourtown, Pa.

FRIDAY - We celebrate our Faculty and Staff

As our focus of Catholic Schools Week comes to a close, we remember and thank our faculty and staff for their commitment and service to educating and caring for our students. There will be a faculty and staff dress down day and treats to be discovered.

Families are encouraged to send in a small note of gratitude to our teachers and/or our St. Cecilia School Staff.

Have a great week everyone! Enjoy what Catholic Schools have to offer.
