The snow and cold couldn’t stop our Catholic Schools Week service project. Thursday was a great day to complete our “Birthday Bag” assembly line by grades and fill cake pans with everything needed for a birthday celebration. Kindergarten came first bringing aluminum cake pans. First grade followed with chocolate icing; second grade, vanilla icing; third grade, chocolate cake mix; fourth grade, vanilla cake mix; fifth grade, chocolate icing; sixth grade, rolls of crepe paper and rectangular plastic table cloths; seventh grade, packs of birthday candles and bags of balloons; and eighth grade, cans of sprite. Once assembled, the filled cake pans were placed in individual large bags and given to Mary Queen of All Saints Parish’s Food Pantry: Loaves and Fishes for distribution. May those who receive a birthday bag enjoy their celebration!
