Dr. Seuss Day was celebrated on March 4th with the reading of “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”. “Thing 1” came to read about the journeys you can take to faraway places or somewhere just around the corner. Afterwards, student buddies visited different stations set in the gym relating to Dr. Seuss. Students had the chance to use their imaginations to: Design a new Character, Create a new animal, draw in their balloon a place they would like to visit, write a crazy poem, share a book with your buddy, and pick a coloring page from the story to complete with their buddy. Everyone enjoyed their time in the gym. The afternoon ended back in the classroom where everyone enjoyed more activities in their classrooms. A great day was celebrated with reading as a focus!
