On Wednesday, June 17th, our eighth grade class closed the era of their years at St. Cecilia School as students, and began a new one as members of St. Cecilia Alumni. It was perfect seeing the beautiful smiling faces of our graduates and the excitement of the ceremony.
After the Graduation Mass, officiated by Fr. Edward Friel, Pastor of Mary Queen of All Saints, was complete, the Graduation Ceremony took center stage. The Class of 2026 received their diplomas from the Executive Director of Catholic Partnership Schools, Mrs. Jameka Walker. Awards and scholarships were announced to student recipients by our eighth grade teacher, Ms. Joyce. Mrs. Jameka Walker presented the awards, Fr. Ed Friel, and our Principal, Sr. Alicia M. Perna SSJ M.Ed. were present to shake their hands.

Once the awards were presented, Sr. Alicia addressed the Graduating Class of 2026.
The students then performed a dance to their class song – “Keep Your Head Up”. It was a wonderful interpretation!.
Our graduates then presented their parents with a yellow rose and a letter as a thank you.
The unique tradition of the pinning of the new alumni by former alumni of St. Cecilia School, continued this year, with many alumni pinning their siblings. One special father/daughter moment occurred this year as dad, an alumnus of St. Cecilia, was able ro pin his daughter Isabella.
